Left the Vespa ET4 125 in the shed for months with a flat (and totally
dead)
battery, not used as licence had expired. Thinking I'd be facing a long
job
of stripping down and fault-tracing I was absolutely chuffed to bits when
it
started first time with a new battery.
So, for future reference what is the "correct" way to lay up a scooter?
and
what is the shortest anticipated storage time after which you should be
doing something to prepare them for it?
Also, the kick-start hardly ever works, it just grates as if cogs aren't
me****ng properly. Haven't opened it up to have a look yet. What am I
likely
to find if/when I do, and will it be a DIY job or one for the
professionals?
